The VHT 412CEL speaker cabinet is a classic straight-front design.
The cab is built from high-quality all-birch plywood with an airtight sealed jack plate (no air leaks = maximum leading-edge attack) and is loaded with four 12″ Celestion Vintage 30 16-ohm speakers. The 412VHT speaker cabinet has the same classic dimensions as the 412CEL, but unlike most 4×12 cabinets, the 412VHT has an open back.
Now 4×12 players can experience the expansive spatial dimension that only an open- back cabinet can provide.
We’ve outfitted the 412VHT cabinet with our specially-designed VHT ChromeBack speakers. Both 4×12 cabinets feature a stereo/mono switch for either 4- or 16- ohm mono operation or 8-ohms per side stereo operation.
In stereo mode, the jacks are configured with isolated ground paths to prevent ground issues with multi-amp setups.
