March 2020 Newsletter

Can you pick the theme of this month’s newsletter from the picture?

It seems appropriate to focus on everything green this month!  Not only is it Other Music’s colour scheme but it’s also the month we get involved in Earth Hour (you don’t get more green than that) and St Patrick’s Day.  So, with Andrew’s Irish heritage, my love of potatoes & a good beer, we thought, why not?!

There’s also a reminder about some previous specials which finish soon so please scroll down or click on the links and have a read.  You can also see what’s been taking up my time when I’m not “doing” Other Music.  As always, feel free to contact us for any inquiries or questions.  We’re here to help.

Redcliffe Musical Theatre’s Mamma Mia

MAMMA MIA! Is the ultimate feel-good musical. And now, in a stunning production crafted by Redcliffe Musical Theatre we invite you to fall in love with the music of ABBA all over again! Voulez Vous, S.O.S, Take a Chance On Me, Dancing Queen, Waterloo and of course Mamma Mia and so many more hits you know and love make this production a fabulous night out for audiences of all ages.

Set on a Greek island paradise and inspired by the story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs, writer Catherine Johnson’s heart-warming tale centres around Sophie, a young bride-to-be. On the eve of her wedding, Sophie’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago.

A celebration of love, laughter, family and friendship, MAMMA MIA! is exactly what everyone needs right now – AN UPLIFTING, FUN-FILLED NIGHT AT THE THEATRE.

This musical is so much fun and I get to play keyboard and percussion at the same time. Check out the pic of my set up at a recent rehearsal held at Hazzard Sound.  A little out of my comfort zone but I’d love some familiar faces in the audience!  You might not see me but you’ll definitely get to hear what I’m doing as part of an awesome band with fantastic singers!!
